Details

The Tanaka asp-6 automates the softening point test by ring-and-ball mehod for bitumen and similar substances.

Ergonomic, versatile and premium, the photo-electric device with a wide light beam is employed to ensure a reliable automatic detection of softening point. The automated asp-6 reliably tests the softening point of bitumen and other materials. Its compact size allows it to be installed in a fume hood, and includes a built-in safety shutdown in the event of harmful vapor generation from overheated glycerin. The softening point tester has an ergonomically color-coordinated display for high-visibility and intuitive switch operation. The all-in-one chassis design is compact, lightweight and premium.

Meets ASTM D36, ASTM E28, EN 1427 and IP 58.

Easy Operation

Simple operation - set up the specimen,choose the bath liquid type and hit Start key. Heating,softenening point detection and cooling are performed automatically

Reliable Falling Detection

Due to wide light projector and wide light receiver, asp-6 detects ball even if the ball falls with some angle

asp-6 can store up to 200 test results
Exports to optional printer or to LIMS through RS232/Ethernet port

Safety Detection

Automatically shuts off and problem is reported in case:
- sample falls on one side only within the temperature range
- sample does not fall on either side within the set upper limit temperature
- light projector or receiver is defective
- temperature sensor is defective
- temperature sensor is not placed in the correct position
- built-in battery is drained
- computer does not display properly
