The ACR-M3 tester is used to determine of the amount of carbon residue formed after evaporation and pyrolysis of petroleum material under certain conditions and is intended to provide some indication of the relative coke forming tendency of such materials. The ACR-M3 automates the vaporizing/coking process of the micro carbon residue test. The micro carbon residue test correlates with conventional Conradson methods and offers improved precision and process consistency.
Conforms to test methods ASTM D4530 and ISO 10370.
